Sažetak
The features of a global solar hydrogen energy system as a replacement for the fossil fuel energy system are depicted. The paper presents the technologies for hydrogen production, storage and utilization, their level of development and discusses their potential for commercial application. Solar hydrogen in conjunction with solar electricity may satisfy all the energy needs. Technologically, solar hydrogen energy system is a real possibility, but if or when it will be realized on a global level depends on many factors which are discussed in this paper.
