Sažetak
The modifications of existing n-heptane auto- ignition tabulation for CFD code AVL "FIRE" will be presented in this paper. Current n-heptane tabulation (used to simulate Diesel behavior in IC engines) does not include the phenomenon of cool flame ignition. Taking this into account could improve numerical simulations of combustion in Diesel engines. The methods described here were used to reduce time for creation of new extended tables using most complex chemical mechanism possible, including the tabulation of cool flame data (cool flame ignition delay time and heat release). Three levels of chemical complexity were compared and the calculation results are presented, as well as the method behind using results from calculations with simpler mechanism to speed up the tabulation when using the more complex one.
