Sažetak
A high professional level is quite essential for marine engineers to operate safely and properly a merchant vessel equipped with advanced automation systems. In the paper, some of the simulation possibilities shall be presented within marine students and seafarers education and training process using modern, sophisticated simulators-trainers. Educational and technical training using simulators and trainers is one of most effective skill-up methods. Paper presents a short overview of only part of the possibilities provided by modern ship’ s simulators and trainers installed at Maritime Faculty in Split, in students and seafarers practical training in conditions nearby realistic circumstances at sea.
