Sažetak
The article analyses the application of the nature-based silviculture in the case of the pedunculate oak (Quercus robur L.) floodplain forest dieback. The following was analysed: the origin of the oak stands ; the causes and consequences of their dieback ; remediation methods of degraded habitats ; revitalisation of forest association, and the structure of new stands. Presented is the ecological approach that includes site preparation, regeneration and tending over small areas in the same stand. The revitalisation was carried out by autochthonous tree species that correspond the changed site conditions and belong to the natural potential vegetation of these habitats.
