Sažetak
Contemporary tourism makes a significant contribution to economic and community development. Seeking to raise the quality of human capital as a key-influence to the development of tourism on the site (local, regional, national, and international), education/training programs for tourism professionals should offer competitive, quality, and valuable subjects in order to maintain and improve their skills. Trying to find the « ; best practice» ; model of tourism education (and following some suggestions already presented by the WTO), the authors analyze current state of tourism education and training programs in Croatian higher education.
