Sažetak
Injection moulding is very complex and complicated process that is determined by a large number of processing parameters. During application of new injection moulding procedures, production of new product, using of new materials for injection moulding or for elements of mould cavity, most of the time there is a lack of previous knowledge about the influence of particular element of injection moulding system on moulding properties. Therefore it is necessary to determine influences of individual processing parameters on moulding properties, as well as optimize significant parameters with a goal of achieving satisfactory moulding properties. Computer simulation of injection moulding process enables defining of only initial processing parameters, while detailed process analysis and its optimization is possible to carry out by application of statistical methods. The paper presents an example of application of central-composite design for optimizing of thin-walled injection moulding process in prototype mould.
