Sažetak
In order to survive on the competitive international market one needs to develop modern digitally based communication with customers, suppliers, and within the company between employees, departments, between employees and machines, and machines vs. machines, under a joint management system. This paper deals with results of development and application of a digital enterprise of a metal-working industry in communication within the company and towards the environment in the form of digital records. There is a reduction of paperwork, and a greater information exchange, direct warning of deviation in the production and the possibility of immediate overview of the overall efficiency of production preparation and production.
