Sažetak
The aim was to investigate the influence of artificial substrata on the dinamics of periphyton colonization in the aquatic ecosystem of the Plitvice Lakes. Seven artificial substrata were used to follow the sequence of the colonization of periphyton. During investigation 115 microphyte taxa were determinated. The number of species per cm2 did not show pronouced dependance on the composition or the structure of the substratum but Bacillariophyceae were usually found as a dominant group. Results indicate that cooper foil and lucite, especially in the initial period, inhibit periphyton growth.
