Sažetak
During the vegetational seasons 2004 and 2005 the area along the Plitvica river near Varaždin has been floristically researched. This was the first systematic research of flora of this area. The total of 291 vascular plants was found. Phytogeografical analysis showed that Euroasiatic element is predominant, with 31, 38% of taxa, followed by widespread plants 28, 97%, European 10, 00%, Circumholartic 6, 21%, South-european 6, 21%, Middle-european 2, 76%, East-european-pontic 0, 69%, Submediterranean 0, 69% and Subpanonic plants 0, 34%. Cultivated and adventive plants encompass 8, 28% and unsorted plants 4, 14 % of taxa. According to this analysis, the area by the river Plitvica belongs to the Euroasian-Northamerican region of Holarctis. In the lifeform spectrum hemycriptophyta are predominant (51, 55%), followed by therophyta (20, 96%), phanerophyta (11, 68%), geophyta (9, 62%), chamaephyta (3, 09%) and hydrophyta (1, 72%). Unclassified plants account for 4.14%. Results of this analysis confirm that area by the river Plitvica belongs to the temperate warm humid climate. According to threatened levels one near threatened (NT) species and three vulnerable (VU) species were noted.
