Sažetak
An epoxy resin was irradiated by gamma-rays in the dose range of 0.200 kGy. Differential thermal analysis, infrared and positron lifetime measurements were performed to detect the radiation induced changes of the polymer. The positrons seemed to ignore the detected free radicals indicating some effect stabilizing the reactive species. Consequently, very slow radiation induced after-effects were detected in the resin. A dose dependent phase transition was observed as well.
