Sažetak
The research was carrying out in 2006 and 2007 in three habitat types: flooded habitat – old willow forest (Čonakut), flooded habitat - poplar forest (Hordovanj) and forest habitat with oak forest (Tikveš). The objective of this research was to determine efficiency of various attractants for mosquito trapping in flooded and forest localities of the Kopački rit (Eastern Croatia). The mosquitoes were collecting with CDC traps with various attractants (dry ice, horse urine, combination of horse urine and acetone, acetone, 1-octen-3-ol and ammonium hydroxide). Among 3 248 mosquitoes who were collected by sampling 10 species were identified. The highest number of mosquitoes was identified in flooded habitat of poplar forest, but higher number of species was trapped in poplar and willow forest. It was revealed that CO2 as an attractant, the most effective attractants were 1-octen-3-ol in the willow forest and NH4OH, acetone and horse urine + acetone in the poplar forest. Horse urine showed maximal efficiency exclusively in typical forest habitat. Six mosquito species were trapped at all localities: Ae. vexans, Cx. modestus, An. messeae, Cq. richiardii, Cx. pipiens and Ae. cinereus. Two species An. claviger and Oc. caspius were trapped only in oak forest in Tikveš locality, while the species Ae. rossicus was found only in willow forest.
