Sažetak
Bearing in mind the specific feature of organisation of traffic in tourist destinations and the lack of parking space along with past experiences in the mentioned problematics, the author will in this paper identify some of the principles that are very important for the organisation of parking in tourist destinations. It is the author's intent, within this context of current and expected problems of still traffic, to point to some of the measures which should be undertaken as soon as possible aiming at the humanisation of current tourist destinations, but also aiming at the realisation of possibilities for a more successful shaping and structuring of determined tourist destination in future period. These measures, in author's personal opinion, could stop today's uncontrolled processes in tourist destinations, the effects of which are entirely questionable, and which significantly diminish the comparative advantages of the offer of Croatian tourism due to its chaotic state of traffic during the touristic season. As example of the obvious problem of still traffic (particularly during the tourist season), one of the most famous and oldest tourist destinations in the Republic of Croatia – Opatija is indicated here and the approach and way of solving the problem of still traffic in the town of Opatija is elaborated.
