Sažetak
Solar radiation data on tilted planes are prerequisite for the design of solar energy conversion devices, but there is no station in Yugoslavia performing such measurements. Therefore, the radiation data on tilted planes have to be calculated from records on horizontal planes. For the accurate evaluation of the amount of radiation on tilted surfaces it is important to know both direct and diffuse component of solar radiation on horizontal plane. Only three stations in Yugoslavia have long-term records for both components of solar radiation (Bar, Zeleno-Brdo-Beograd and Sjenica), while 20 stations measure the global radiation on the horizontal plane. Therefore, a good estimation of the percentage of diffuse radiation in global radiation would extend the usability of measured data. There is a great number of statistically based correlations between global radiation and its diffuse component. Liu-Jordan's correlation is the most widely accepted. The aim of this work is to check out the applicability of Liu-Jordan's correlation in Yugoslavia (10 References).
