Sažetak
Qualitative and quantitative investigation of sediment meio- and nematofauna were done from May to October in 1996. Sediment samples were taken from three stations in the reservoire Borovik (Croatia). The aim of this investigation was to assess differences in meio- and nematofauna between investigated stations according to sediment type, depth and influence of aquatic macrophytes. During the investigation ten meiofauna groups were recorded: Nematoda, Copepoda, Rotatoria, Cladocera, Ostracoda, Tardigrada, Oligochaeta, Turbellaria, Acari and Chironomida (not recorded for station III). The most abundant meiofauna was recorded for station I. Fourtheen aquatic free living nematodes were recorded at all investigated stations. Species Tobrilus gracilis had the highest abundance at station II and III and indicate the highely reduced sediment connected with depth and high amount of fine organic detritus with high bacterial activity.
