Sažetak
Some aspects of Church-State relations in Croatia are depicted here. Particular historical circumstances allowed the Catholic Church to seize the role of a dominant religious actor and become important social force in society. It might be counterproductive in terms of the regulation of religious field and the protection of human rights in the civil society. The text starts with theoretical considerations about the framework of the Church-State relationship, moves to aspects of the religious situation in Croatia before and after the social transformation, and finally the legal documents that shape the position of religious communities in Croatia are explained.
