Sažetak
The relationship between the coefficient of variation (CV) of zooecial lenght within colonies was evaluated for 23 Bryozoa species through a latitudinal gradient in the Adriatic. Only 26.1% of the species analyzed display trends of within colony variation predicted by a linear regression of CV of zooecial size and seasonality (observed Mean Annual Range of Temperature ; MART 12 to 15 from south to north). Results call for careful evaluation and documentation of the suitability of each bryozoan species used for MART analysis in paleoecological studies.
