Sažetak
Introduction: The aim of this study was to measure temperature increase in composite polymerized with LED of different intensity. Materials and Methods: Plastic mould in the shape of a circle with a square opening in the centre (4x4x4mm) was made. The opening was filled with composite Tetric Ceram (TC) and Tetric EvoCeram (TEC) (both Vivadent). Thermometer (ELV Pyroscan, Germany) was placed on the bottom side of the sample, and light source on the top side. Bluephase (high intensity program-HIP, low intensity-LOP, soft-start-SOF) and Bluephase 16i (HIP, LOP, SOF) (both Vivadent) were used for polymerization. Results: The highest temperature increase was recorded in polymerization of TC with SOF of Bluephase 16i (8.39± ; 0.92) and the lowest increase in case of TEC polymerized with LOP Bluephase (6.60± ; 0.91). There is statistical significant difference between LOP and other two tested programs for both composites. Conclusion: Based on limited scope of this study, LOP can be recommended as a program of choice for photopolymerization in specific clinical condition.
