Sažetak
Introduction: The analysis of IP(free way space) could be very useful during measurement of OVD and RVD. This analysis verify the difference between dentate patientes and those with prosthodontics restorationes. Also, changes in IP developed as the result of ageing are in relation with bone and joint changes. Aim of the study: To examine the in details the diference betveen measured IP in eugnatic patients and patients with dental prosthetics. Materials and Methods: The study was conducted on 92 patients divided in experimental and control group. The control group consisted of 50 eugnatic male and female patients without prosthetic restorations. The experimental group consisted of 42 male and female patients that had one or more prosthetic work. The IP points were marked on all the examined patients and then superimposed and transferred to measuring grid. The data were gathered and processed utilizing Statistics 5.0 and SPSS 10.0 (Statistical Package for Social Science). Results: The obtained results of measured IP in comparison between the experimental and control group revealed a statistically significant difference. Conclusion: The results of this study indicate that the unsatisfactory and old, worn-out dental prosthetic works can cause the change of point for measure IP specially in patients with removable dental prosthetics such as complete dentures.
