Sažetak
These proceedings contain materials related to three workshops successfully organized during the first year of Tempus Joint European Project (JEP) UM_JEP-19105-2004 EQIBELT (Education Quality Improvement by E-Learning Technology). The first policy workshop, held at University of Dubrovnik at the beginning of March 2006, was dedicated to vision and strategy of e-learning at Croatian universities. Among many interesting and useful presentations and discussions during this three-day workshop, I want especially point out the "mini-workshop" delivered by dr. Tony Bates, worldwide renowned expert in field of strategies for education improvement and change and enhancement of teaching and learning by means of new technologies. Second policy workshop was devoted to topic of standards and recommendations in field of e-learning. The workshop was organized in June 2006, in Cavtat in conjunction with 28th International Conference Information Technology Interfaces ITI 2006, organized by University Computing Centre - SRCE. During two workshop days many questions in field of standardization of e-learning and applying standards in actual Croatian circumstances were effectively discussed. Possible organizational models and required competences of e-learning support centres were in focus of the first workshop on e-learning support centres, held also in Cavtat in June 2006. Lectures, presentations and discussions were very valuable for further shaping of e-learning support centres at Croatian universities.
