Sažetak
Besides classic source of endangerig society is more and more exposed to new methods of insecurity and imperilments. One of bigger and more frequent threats of contemporary world is terrorism. These days terrorism represents the dark side of globalization and is manifested as trans-national danger. Terrorist organizations and their nets have shed off all the benefits and advantages of the present - openness, integration and globalization -and harnessed them into implementation of therr destructive stand. Terrorism is global and local danger and it should be dealt with globally and locally. It is particularly maligant when it finds a suitable "host".Methods used in September 11th, 2001. attack were completely new and a complete suprise and new surprise are to be expected in the future. That is why the transformation of armed forces throughout the world is essential. Although civil-military relations in democratic countries were generally good prior to September 11the, 2001, particular tensions needed observation and attention both in military profession and many government agencies which regularly co-operate with army. The full significance of September 11th attack and terrorism for future civil-military relations is still at the nascent stage, but some projections can be made now. Although the civil-military front is evident, there are still many sources of potential conflicts, misunderstandings and worries in civil-military relations.
