Sažetak
The role of regulatory impact assessment (RIA) is to enable the efficient implementation of the Stabilisation and Association Agreement (SAA), inform businesses and other groups in the society of the changes that they can expect from European integration process, make it possible to plan the national budget and to enable defining negotiating positions vis-à ; ; ; ; -vis EU in the future. RIA in Croatia became a regular part of the process of drafting legal acts from 1 Dec 2001 (Government Decision). During 2001 MEI started implementing three projects of RIA:directive-level study, methodological guide and impact assessment of the SAA.
