Sažetak
The author describes 26 coins found during rescue excavations carried out in 1982 – 1990 in the city-centre of Trogir. This site began as a Hellenistic settlement on the Dalmatian coast near Salona, and it became a Roman, and then Byzantine town. These coins date from the 2nd century BC to the 6th century, one being from the 10th century. Together with other numismatic finds from Trogir, kept in Trogir and Split Museums, as well as in the private collections, the ancient coins from Trogir and its neighborhood give some clues about trade and economic history in the area.
