Sažetak
The role of the state and the transition process is a topical and much debated issue. The more this process advances and the more problems appear, the clearer it becomes how unfounded were the expectations that the influence of the state would weaken with the collape of comunisam. However, even the first steps in the transition process had a sobering effect, as inevitably happens in situations where old institutions have been demolished and new ones have not yet been built. As to the question of who was to build them: it was becoming increasingly clear that again this could only be the state.
