Sažetak
This paper presents an extension of our previous study on effector function of phagocytes in children with thype-1 diabetes and the begining of a similar study in type-2 diabetes. The results presented confirm the already published data on the reduced phagocytosis and ADCC of blood leucocytes in children with type-1 diabetes. Although about one third of registered children with type-2 diabetes in Croatia were examined, the final number (six) were too small to permit a documented conclusion. It seems, however, that tested leucocyte functions might be reduced also in children with type-2 diabetes.
