Sažetak
Investigations were carried out in the gills of striped mullet (Mullus karbatus L.), garfish (Belnea belone gracilis Brunn.), white bream (Sargus rondeletii L.), small-scaled scorpionfish (Scorpaena porcus L.), goldline (Box salpa L.), conger (Conger congerL.), moray\Muraena helena L.), and black tail sea bream (Oblata melanura C. V.). The fishes were caught in the vicinity of Primosten. Histopathological changes in gills slices stained with hematoxylin-eosin were determinated. Hyperplasia and hypertrophy of the gills epithelial cells were the most frequent findings. The epithelial cell lifting accompanied with the cell infiltration was also obserwed. Proliferation chloride cells were found to a lesser extent. The possible causes of these changes are discussed.
