Sažetak
This is an electrochemical method that quantifies metallothioneins. Electrochemical response is not specific to certain type of protein, but to certain type of functional groups, SH-groups, which are common to different proteins. Quantification of MT is based on the linear relationship between catalytic hydrogen wave and the concentration of cystein residues.
