Sažetak
The authors investigated the causes of death of young goat kids on new farm close to the canal Sava-Odra-sava river. The first birth season as well as the result of the farm were satisfactory. In the secondear an oncreased number of kids died 2-10 days after birth.Specific causes were eliminated by various examinations.Pathohystologic and electromycroscopic examination established muscular and myocardial waxy dystrophy, the authors diagnosed congenital systemic rhabdomyopathy and cardiomyopathy. As the first year was succesfull the authors assumed that Selenium and vitamin Edeficiency occured in goats, due to feeding on plants from marshy ground (acid grass). The assumption was supported by improvement following preventive and therapeutic treatment of all animal categories with mineral and vitamin preparations.
