Sažetak
The fundamental problem for transition country like Croatia is how to participate in the trend of knowledge-based economies and technology development in general without an adequate information structure or capital to develop/maintain one. Learning has become fundamental and strategic process at the level of firms and nations. Capability to learn and to apply learning to the process of production, sales and management is rapidly becoming one of the most important dimensions of the modern firm. Empowering people to apply their intelligence, experience and imagination to leverage data and information into a knowledge society, requires dynamic leadership, a "can do" attitude and a holistic approach to development of learning and acquisition of knowledge. The remaining part of the paper has suggested symbiotic approach between western firms and firms in Croatia. If the future belongs to those who are able to transform boundaries, then participants in these communities of practice may represent the leadership of tomorrow. In the same time as symbiotic leadership practices and techniques that managers in all organizations can use to create a symbiosis for the productive deployment of any work group through human creativity, especially in groups assigned the task of knowledge transfer.
