Sažetak
This study addresses the demographic history of Croatians Danubian region - Eastern Slavonia, Barania and Western Sriem - from the sixteenth century to the present. Based on historic evidence the paper concludes that despite centuries of war, upheaval, and migrations, the Croats continued to be the most numerous ethnic group in the region, a region which in modern times has always been part of croatians territory.
