Sažetak
In this paper we present theory about single walled carbon nanotubes and a suitable way for modeling such molecular structures using finite element method. Precisely, in order to model a carbon nanotube, first we have to describe and find a linkage between molecular mechanics system and structural mechanic system and then use those results and demonstrate them on example of one single walled carbon nanotube, with two different patterns. Finally, example of substitution of one frame like model of SWNT with single beam element is given.
