Sažetak
This paper is a comparative analysis of two multicriterial analysis methods - PROMETHEE and DEA on example of relative development level evaluation for Croatian counties and macroregions in 1991. Although both methods can synthesize a number of different indicators into a single measure to evaluate the achieved development level of Croatian counties and macroregions, they both have specific features which can be significantly reflected in the final results of their application. The concrete example of county and macroregions development evaluation is based on 28 indicators grouped into three characteristic groups. The evaluation is carried out for the total of 26 units (21 counties, 4 macroregions and Croatia as a whole) in terms of every group of criteria as well as in terms of all the groups together.
