Sažetak
BCMHR-CU Bedfordshire Centre for Mental Health Research in association with University of Cambridge organized Seventh Cambridge/ Luton International Conference on Mental Health 2007, in Cambridge, UK from October 10-13, 2007. The conference took place in Churchill College in Cambridge and was hosted by Dr Rashid Zaman (Director and Consultant Psychiatrist), Professor Peter Jones (Director and Head of Department of Psychiatry) and Dr Mark Agius (Secretary and Senior Research Fellow, and Conference Organizer, MD). Special Pre-Conference Satellite Symposium was organized before the Conference with topics: Current Research on Suicide Behaviour in Hungary. The aim of the conference was to improve and to modernise the profile of Mental Health Services, and to promote international collaboration about mental health in Europe at the three important levels: the research, the education and service development. The special lecture was given by Emeritus Prof Eugen Paykel (Cognitive therapy in relapse prevention in Affective Disorder). Conference consisted of 34 invited lectures and 60 posters were displayed during three days of conference. The most frequent topics of the Conference were bipolar disorders, posttraumatic stress disorder, suicidal behaviour, and psychoses. Most of the abstracts from oral presentations and poster were published in Psychiatria Danubina, 19 (Suppl 1): 1-72, 2007. A gala dinner was organized in an old castle of Madingley.
