Sažetak
At first, a short discussion on the issues arisen between the Republic of Croatia and Bosnia and Herzegovina concerning the "triangle": the Port of Ploče, the Port of Neum, the Bridge Mainland-Pelješac Peninsula is given, with the emphasis on the issue of the Bridge Mainland- Pelješac Peninsula. Selected bridge site and geological profile at the location of channel crossing are described. Short overview of officially accepted bridge design is given together with the critical review. Particular attention is given to navigation clearance with an overview of similar examples in the world. A short description of a compromise solution, considered to be acceptable for both the Republic of Croatia and Bosnia and Herzegovina is given at the end.
