The impact of higher education on economic development : the case of the Faculty of Economics in Osijek - its contribute are related four areas: (1) development of human capital in quantity and quality, (2) trasferring research expertize and business know-how to already existing local comunity: (3) advocating changes in local (regional) economic policy based upon economic research and analysis and (4) supplying new business ideas, training and skills to existing and prospectiv etrepreneurs, managers and adult learners in general.
