Sažetak
The paper deals with investigation and modelling of melodic segmentation. Using WTM notation for transcribing non-western music is a recognised problem in ethnomusicology. In aim to avoid this problem, notion of indicators for revealing changes in pitch, loudness and timbre is explained. The computer program MusickTracker, developed by authors, takes a digitally recorded music signal (.wav) as its input and calculates the indicators values in course of musical sound with the time step of about 20 ms.
