Sažetak
Transromanica, Transnational Network and Itineraries of the Romanesque, is international developing project, a part of European Union programme INTERREG III B CADSES. The main project leader is Ministry of Building and Traffic, Saxony-Anhalt, Germany. Project life was 3 years, from November 2003 to October 2006, budget was 2, 1 Mio.€ , partners from five regions from Germany, Italy, Austria and Slovenia participated with 1, 3 Mio.€ . The European project Transromanica is based on the idea to promote the integration process of a greater Europe through common cultural and historical roots: Romanesque heritage. The long-term Transromanica aims are: participation of all interested countries and regions in cultural tourism and involvement new regional and state partners in project's network ; making and realizing projects related with the revitalization of the territories rich with romanesque cultural heritage ; increasing the number of visitors/tourists on the territories with romanesque monuments, as well as interest for cultural tourism ; increasing the number of cultural events, organized visits and new cultural and tourist programmes ; increasing the level of protection and restoration of cultural heritage especially romanesque ones and spreading the project in other European countries. Achieved Transromanica goals, among others, are: tourist and cultural itineraries, training programmes, marketing tools (romanesque on Internet, data base, brochures, CD-ROMs, DVDs, participation on international tourist fairs, promotion of romanesque heritage on different European languges, presentation of the project to the different economy sectors, ...) and «virtual romanesque center». In text it will be detailed shown and explained: project concept (what is Transromanica, project relations with European Union programmes, project development), project aims, products and concrete results, as well as transnational activities, Transromanica examples in partner states/regions, future of Transromanica and Croatian activities in the project.
