Sažetak
An overview of the perspectives of using 1- and 2-man portable micro-ROVs for an array of necessary missions in the Croatian Adriatic is given. A case study is provided based on the experiences of the team of the University of Zagreb in surveying and inspections missions with the use of the VideoRay Pro II micro-ROV. Peculiarities, details and visions of sustainable development of a number of economic venues within the Croatian Adriatic is given, which relies heavily on the use of inexpensive, non-poluting, electrically driven micro-ROVs for human tele-presence and inspection under the sea.
