Sažetak
The report from the international conference on "Europe of Cultures: Cultural Identity of Central Europe" held in Zagreb, 22-24 November 1996, encompasses an assessment of the working sessions and the issues that were discussed: the Central European cultures and cultural identities ; cultural identity in the perspective of development and transformation, and the position of Central Europe in the all-European context. The special session was devoted to cultural policies. The concluding remarks offered a brief overview of the efforts invested in the reconstruction of the Central European cultural identities in the context of transitional changes in the whole region.
