Sažetak
This paper presents experimetal testing of glulam roof girder which is the main girder of the Karlovac highschool sports hall roof. Girder is a simple supported beam over the span of 29, 80 m. The roof structure consists of 8 main girders at 5, 05 m distance which is the span of secondary girders (14/30 cm). Lateral bracing consits of steel diagonals of various diametars and is placed into second field from the gable wall and along edges of the main girders. Experimentally obtained results (displacemnts and strains) will be compared to results of FE simulation of the tested structure. The aim of this testing is to assess the behaviour of the structure and its comparisson to the design predictions and requirements, and to determine the capability of the structure to take over the design load.
