Sažetak
In this article the functionality of next generation nuclear formation evaluation tool has been briefly explained and challenges related to electronic design and development have been presented. The tool is described by it's functional components: pulse neutron generator, nuclear detectors, signal acquisition section, communication section and power supply. Because of the harsh wellbore environment, tool's electronics should be reliable to work in high temperature conditions with always present forcible vibrations. Article describes general approaches used for electronic design, where the aim is high sensitivity measurement with high precision signal processing and low power operation. As the tool is producing great amount of data to be transferred to surface, article gives an overview of solutions used for signal transmission over mono cable which is commonly used for communication.
