Sažetak
This paper gives data on demographic changes in the structure of the Croatian elderly population, characteristics of the retirees, participation of the elderly in a labour force and an overwiev of the available care for the elderly. The paper does not attempt to give answers to the major social questions of aging but aim to provide with quantitative tools. i.e. to shape the data collected by official institutions for their own particular objectives.
