Sažetak
The objective of this paper is the identification of trafficway parcels through theoretical and practical work which can be applied in Detailed Area Planning (urban plan). The goal is to determine rules for the identification of trafficway parcels in a settlement. To reach the goal, an analysis of comparative indicators of trafficways is performed through terms of an area enveloped by cadastral parcels in a settlement and building lots on a level of an urban plan. According to present day practice in Croatia, a motor traffic connection of traffic parcels to other parcels in a settlement is determined on case basis without specific rules for the connection. Regularity of traffic connection should take place according to traffic hierarchy. The hierarchy is comprised of a type of trafficway with clearly defined traffic load according to a service mode. For greater safety of residents in a settlement a distinction should be made in the traffic hierarchy between major, collector and access streets and special purpose ways. The proper traffic connection in a settlement is when a trafficway parcel of an access street services building lots.
