Sažetak
The article surveys the examples of coinage from the Numismatic collection of the Regional Museum that originate from the villages of Čitluk and Jasensko near Čitluk. Čitluk was the only Roman colony in the inlands of the province of Dalmatia, founded during Claudius' rule. The majority of the coins represent the ones dating from the late 1st century BC to the 5th century A.D. The largest number of examples is dated to the period of late Antiquity. Numidian coinage is represented by a rare specimen of a silver denar of King Juba I, minted between 60 and 46 BC. The hoards prove that these coins were used for decades after Numidia had become a Roman province. The latest coin is the anonymous Byzantine follis issued during the 11th century in the mint of Constantinopolis. It represents one of the rare finds which witness the life of the former Roman town in the period ot the early Middle Ages.
