Sažetak
A brief overview of simplified design methods for prestressed concrete stressribbon decks is presented in this paper. Especial attention is addressed to static design procedure defined in Standard of Design and Construction of Stress-Ribbon Bridge (Draft) published by Japan Prestressed Concrete Engineering Association in the year 2000. That procedure is based on theory developed by prof. Eibl neglecting different height of abutments and real length of bridge deck. Bridge deck has small bending rigidity that can be neglected in preliminary design. Only vertical forces are observed. Prestressing is simulated by equivalent temperature drop. An extension of that theory is presented in this paper. Real length of the bridge deck and abutments on different heights are observed. Prestressing force is directly taken into calculation procedure. It acts on bridge deck composite cross-section consisting of bearing cables and concrete. More realistic calculation of prestressing effects on bridge deck is an advantage of presented method.
