Sažetak
Failure scenario of turbo machines due to loss of a part of one blade, one whole or several blades is investigated. For this purpose rotor was described by Jeffcott model and stator was modelled as an elastically suspended rigid ring. Described rotor-dynamic system was simulated via Runge-Kutta method. To confirm some of the results and to tune the numerical model, experimental investigation on the test rig was conducted. Numerical analysis was divided in two parts. The purpose of the first part was to correlate its results with the experimental one for parameters in a range which wouldn’ t damage the test rig, while the purpose of the second part of numerical analysis was to simulate the more rigorous situations. When critical parameters are achieved intensive rotor deceleration was simulated. It seems that the main reason for this phenomenon was combination of the rotor backward whirl and intermittent rotor-stator contact.
