Sažetak
The gluconeogenic capacity of the Nick chick embryos treated with 5 different doses of chlorinated hydrocarbon insecticides in air sac of fertile eggs on day zero of incubation was investigated. The activity of key liver gluconeogenic enzymes (PC, PEPCK, FDPase, G6Pase), pyruvate and glucose levels were measured in the liver of 14 days old chicken embryos.Toxaphene, endosulfan, and kelevan significantly inhibit gluconeogenic pathway, whereas DDT, lindane and chlordane disturb it appreciably. Both effects are inauspicious for embryo upgrowth and the vitality of hatched chickens.
