Sažetak
Three fingerlings of Balistes carolinesis Gmelin, 1789 found under a floating wreckage near the coast of the islet Gubavac (vivinity of the settlement Lumbarda, Korčula Island), in September 1994, provided the first occurrence of the grey triggerfish fingerlings in the eastern Adriatic. The main morphometric and meristic data are given. teh status of the grey triggerfish needs to be evaluated on a continuos basis as it is becoming increasingly apparent that uncommon species, and particularly those on the edge of their distribution, can be essential indicators of environmental change.
