Sažetak
Alzheimer's disease societies Croatia (ADSC) was founded in 1999 in Zagreb. The main aim is to help people with dementia, their families and care- givers. ADSC fights stigma and brings education to general population. The whole work is done by volunteers. Activities range from publishing booklets, leaflets and posters, organizing symposia and congresses on Alzheimer's disease, celebrating the World Alzheimer's Day on 21st Sept. each year, providing a 24 hours help-line (0915691660), advising through web-site page (www.alzheimer.hr) and e-mail (alzheimer@alzheimer.hr). Even though ADSC does not have its own office, it has done a lot for raising awareness on AD and helping people with dementia, their families and care-givers.
