Sažetak
Independently of a theoretical approach to knowledge management and learning organizations, different sources agree that there is no proficient organizational knowledge management without creating an adequate framework - of organizational culture, norms and of a system of values, as well as of communication, employee motivation and other important aspects related to workforce. Because of that, the quality of practice management related to workforce is one of the key attributes in core competencies development in modern organizations. This article is based on research conducted with the intention of applying the assessment model to key elements of human dimension management practices according to the People Capability Maturity Model (P-CMM). The model presented is used for estimating the 2nd maturity level according to the P-CMM in the following key areas: selection, communication and performance management, training, work environment and compensations. Assessment is undertaken in five business units of a company whose products and services contain high levels of intellectual work. Simultaneously with the estimation of maturity level (interviews with responsible managers), a survey on the sample of 73 employees was performed for the same key areas. In that way the correlation between the results obtained from the given model of measurement (P-CMM) and the results of employees’ survey, the quality of work practice management is determined. Regression analysis outcome thus capacitates conclusions regarding the measurement model, as well as the circumstances of workforce management in the given organization.
