Sažetak
Our investigation had the aim to calculate the bauxite phase composition on the basis of an elaborated chemical analysis of the basic components. Bauxite samples of various phase characteristics have been tested. The phase composition of the bauxite was determined after alkalic digestion of the samples and compared to X-ray analysis. Special attention was paid to goethite and the advantage of the alkalic digestion over the graphic-analysis method. Using our method most of the minerals in boehimitic - gibbsitic can be determined rather as well as by X-ray diffraction.
